El­derly woman in­jured as driver hits three cars

A WOMAN in her late 70s was in­jured in Ruis­lip on Satur­day Oc­to­ber 8 af­ter her car was hit by a ve­hi­cle which failed to stop at the scene.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened at around 11.55pm in Queens Walk.

The woman was taken to hospi­tal to be treated for mi­nor in­juries which are not said to be se­ri­ous.

Ac­cord­ing to a wit­ness the woman’s car was badly dam­aged how­ever, along with two parked cars.

The ve­hi­cle which failed to stop at the scene is re­ported to be an old, light-coloured or pos­si­bly sil­ver Mercedes E-Class.

A wit­ness said: “[The Mercedes] rear ended an el­derly lady at quite a speed. Her car span and hit my parked car which in turn hit the car in front of mine.

“We called an am­bu­lance for the el­derly driver who was shaken and con­fused.

“Her car is to­talled, mine is un­driv­able and the car in front of mine suf­fered cos­metic dam­age.”

No ar­rests have been made and po­lice say that en­quiries are on­go­ing.
