Magic, Silence and Devience
Hayes FM presenter Hughie Dixon reviews the live band scene
IF you’re at a loose end tonight (Wednesday), looking for some great live rock music and you’re able to travel into Camden then I highly recommend you attend the Devience gig at The Fiddler’s Elbow in Malden Road NW5.
Devience (pronounced DEV-I-ENCE) mostly from Ruislip are an exquisite amalgamation of Guns and Roses style riffs, Thin Lizzy guitar harmonies and Queen-esque vocals brought together by five guys to produce one unique and powerful wall of sound that can rival literally any of the aforementioned already established acts.
Just £5 on the door will gain you access to a night you won’t forget in a hurry.
Two other bands, The Magic E’s and Silence The Hero complete the bill.
If you can’t make it to Camden you can find out all you need to know about Devience’s future gigs online at www.devience.com
Be sure to tune into my interactive HayesFM radio show every Tuesday at 8pm to hear live and original performers. Plus there will be more local live music news.
