HILLINGDON 10K HALF MARATHON

The popular Hillingdon Half Marathon and 10k event will be back again in 2017 and will take place on Sunday 19th February at Brunel University. Last year there were 575 entries and this year we hope to reach record entries. It is hoped that many local London marathon runners will enter the event as a warm up for the marathon. Bird & Lovibond solicitors, a local law firm with offices in Uxbridge, Ruislip and Greenford will continue its support of the event as title sponsors.

“We are delighted to be sponsoring The Hillingdon Half Marathon 2017 returns for a third year. Last year the race had the full support of our staff with many training and taking part in the 10k race. In the process, we raised £1,500 for charity. We are hoping the weather will be kinder this time around –Storm Katie was in full force at the start of last year’s race! With better weather, the Bird & Lovibond team are hoping to get new PBs and raise more money for charity.” The official charity for the event is the Hillingdon Hospitals Charity. James Shipley, Race Director commented: “We wanted to work with a local charity for the race and since the majority of the competitors are from the local area we thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to work with Hillingdon Hospital. We are betting that a good number of the athletes will have been born in the hospital themselves…. I myself am one of them! With the help and support of Bird & Lovibond Solicitors we think this event will achieve fantastic things for the community”
