Explorers do Developmen­t Cup double

WEST Drayton Explorers’ youngest sides toasted cup glory.

Filip Ponski led the goal glut with a hat-trick for the under 7s as they won their Developmen­t Cup final against S4K Lions 9-2.

Storm Wolfe and Amandio Moreiro hit doubles and there were goals for Lucas Darzinskas and Kajus Cepas.

The U8s final was an allExplore­rs affair with the clubs Blues edging out the Reds 3-2 thanks to a Natu Yohannes brace and a Kennedy Kithinji goal.

Ray Belfon Murray’s hat-trick was crucial for the U12s as they won a Middlesex County Cup thriller with Old Isleworthi­ans 4-3. Man of the match Aiden Edwards was the other youngster on target.

The U16s bowed out of the league cup on penalties to Prestwood Colts after a 4-4 draw. Hassan Amey was Explorers’ man of the match.

In league action, Explorers U13s had two candidates for the match-ball as they ran up double figures against Taplow United Youth. Man of the match Alfie Taylor and Armari Adams both hit hat-tricks in a 10-3 rout, Jayden Blackwood hit a double and other goals came from Hunayn Abbas Ali Zaidi and an own goal.

Reece Butler was hat-trick hero for the U11s as they beat Bessingby Park Rangers 6-0, other goals coming from Hayden O’ Toole, Cruz Ojo and Alfie Stevens.

Brandon Pritchard’s double and goals from from Szymon Kowalczyk, Jeshan Jeyatheesw­aran and Denis Ziaja secured the U15s a 5-2 victory over Windsor Kestrel Black, while the U9 reds were Explorers’ other winners, beating SK4 Wolves 4-1 thanks to Lenny Anene’s double and one each for Oliver Longley and Yousef Islam. All three U10 sides were beaten. Elijah Ansah’s goal wasn’t enough for the Purples who lost 2-1 to Townmead Youth and Harry Todd scored for the Reds in a 3-1 loss at Chalfont Saints.

The U10 Blues lost 6-2 at Langley Hornets with Elliot Tackley and Alberto RodriguezO­wens their scorers.
