Pickett hit four in his side’s 8-3 win, Leo Stevens added a brace and there were goals for Luke Waddock and Issac Olum.

Sandgate’s other hat-trick hero of the weekend was U8 Harry Ward, whose treble came in their 5-5 draw against Old Isleworthians. Ollie Hunt bagged a brace in the goal fest but Harry Bridges earned man of the match for a last-minute tackle which saved a goal to preserve Sandgate’s unbeaten record.

The U16s were the other winners this week, beating Cheam Sports 3-2.

A double for man of the match Nabil Mezali helped the U10 Colts draw 2-2 with Bedfont Eagles, but Sandgate’s other five sides were beaten.

The U12s just lost out, 3-2, to Brook House despite goals from Daniel N’Somi and Shae Cooper, while a Joshua Dean strike couldn’t save the U10s from going down 3-1 to Cobham Cobras.

Abbie McKenzie’s goal was consolation for the U7s as they lost 4-1 to AVG Starz and the U7 Colts managed just an own goal as they went down 3-1 to the same opponents. The U13 Blades also had a day to forget, losing 6-0 to AVC Wembley.
