‘True facts’ that can’t be ignored

-

NOW another self proclaimed righteous expert a Mr K Rowland attacks my views on Heathrow.

Based on an aircraft joyride of over 60 years ago and tries to deny the correct facts that are freely available on the internet.

His false knowledge of the Brabazon assumes that a plane can have two pairs of engines on one wing and one pair of engines on the other for the contra-rotating propellers.

Of course he also denies it taking off and landing at Heathrow, which I saw it do on a number of occasions. The true facts on this are also on the internet. Fact: the Brabazon had eight engines.

It is interesting to note on page 17 (Gazette 14/12/2016), that London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan recognises the enormous amount of toxic pollution that diesel vehicles are causing in Central London and is attempting to do something about it.

Whilst at the same time on the front page it shows Hillingdon Council participating in a legal challenge, based on an almost non-existing level of toxic pollution from aircraft.

It is Councillor Ray Puddifoot that “stubbornly refuses to accept that it is” the high speed road network, with diesel vehicles and trains that are causing this near Heathrow.

Of the four transport fuels available, aircraft fuel is the smallest polluting and least toxic. Lumping in the real polluting culprits with Heathrow’s expansion is totally dishonest and a total waste of council tax payers money on this frivolous court case.
