HOLLYWOOD leading man Ewan McGregor has been spotted filming at Brunel University in Uxbridge .

The Scottish actor who broke on to the scene with his role in Trainspotting has also starred in Star Wars films and Moulin Rouge.

He was spotted walking through the campus on Monday (September 11) and is thought to be filming his 2018 release Zoe.

It comes days after fellow Brit Hollywood star Tom Hardy was spotted filming in London.

The futuristic film looks at two researchers, played by McGregor and Léa Seydoux, who are working in a lab to create technology to improve and perfect romantic relationships.

The film also stars pop singer Christina Aguilera, Rashida Jones, who starred in the US version of The Office as well and Parks and Recreation, and English actor Theo James.

Twitter user @annaloguer told the Gazette she also saw “slightly menacing-looking gold-faced men in boiler suits” during the filming.

A Brunel University spokesman confirmed McGregor was indeed filming at the university but could not give more details.

The university was famously used as a location in Stanley Kubric’s A Clockwork Orange and has been used in filming regularly since then including multiple episodes of Inspector Morse.

The university can also be spotted in Judwaa 2, a Bollywood sequel due to release later this month.
