Two hurt in three car crash

A WOMAN is in hospital and a man had to be rescued from inside his car following a three-car rush hour collision in Hayes.

Metropolit­an Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene of the crash in Kingsway shortly after 8am on Monday September 11.

London Fire Brigade had to be called out to rescue a man who had been trapped inside his own car as a result of the crash.

A woman had to be taken to a west London hospital for treatment to her injuries which police described as non life-threatenin­g or like-changing.

The collision happened near the junction with the busy West Drayton road near Hayes Recreation Ground.

Kingsway was closed to traffic in both directions and traffic was heavy on roads leading up to the road as well as West Drayton Road and Uxbridge Road.

The H98 bus route was also operating on diversion around the scene of the crash.
