Closure threat is worrying

AS a former resident of the borough of Hillingdon, which I visit frequently, I am very worried to hear that Uxbridge police station is threatened with closure.

This modern, fit for purpose building has good transport links and access.

I understand that the Hayes End building, which is proposed as the central station, will need money spent on it. Money that would be much better saved in the current climate of cuts to services.

I appeal to the Mayor of London to reconsider the proposed closure. Margaret Whellams by email
