ANOTHER day, another superhero movie – or villain in this case...

This time it’s Spider-Man spin-off Venom who is getting his own film, and Tom Hardy, above, is set to star.

As much stock as Tom has as an actor right now, Marvel fans have given the film news a lukewarm reception.

Venom is not associated with Spider-Man: Homecoming and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s still unclear how and where it fits in.

All that being said, a first picture was shared on Twitter declaring ‘Day One’ of filming had begun. It’s due in cinemas in October 2018.
