MOTHER OF TEEN STABBED TO DEATH APPEALS FOR HELP FROM THE PUBLIC

- GOOLISTAN COOPER

THE mother of the 18-year-old stabbed to death in Northolt in a “brutal” attack says “he never stood a chance”.

Jason Isaacs was found in Newnham Close on November 18 suffering critical stab wounds. He died from his injures in hospital on Tuesday November 21.

Speaking on Saturday (November 25), a week after the attack and as police renewed their appeal for information by visiting the scene, the teenager’s mum Sharon Kendall asked for the public’s help catching the culprits.

“Last Saturday our amazing, beautiful Jason went out with friends for a night out and a few drinks,” she said. “He should have come home to his loving family. Instead, he was brutally attacked, he never stood a chance.

“Our lives are in pieces. The police are out tonight, they need you to talk to them about Jason’s murder. Every little piece of information is really important.”

Ms Kendall added: “If you don’t want to talk to them on the street, take a witness appeal poster and call the incident room. For Jason, make that call.”

She joined police in Newnham Close on Saturday night as officers renewed their ongoing appeal for information about the attack.

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh said: “This was a brutal, pre-meditated murder. The attack was ferocious and clearly intended to deliver fatal injuries.”

He said four suspects arrived on two mopeds, adding: “Did you see them riding around the area before the attack? The pillions were not wearing crash helmets so they would have stood out?

“Have you seen them in the days before the attack?”

DCI McHugh continued: “It has been suggested that these males may have committed other crimes, such as robberies or assaults.

“If you have been chased, robbed or hurt by the group please make contact with my incident room. I will deal with your information confidentially.

“What you may believe to be insignificant, could be very important to our investigation.”

Shortly after Mr Isaacs’ death, his family said in a statement: “We are devastated to have lost our beautiful son in such senseless circumstances.

“Jason was a kind and loving son and brother who adored his music, fashion and his beloved QPR football team.

“He was working hard as an apprentice carpenter, loved socialising and was a very popular boy.

“We feel knife crime in this area, an and in London, is out of control an and it must be st stopped before an another young life is taken, and another family has to suffer what we are suffering now.

“We need to educate young people early on around the dangers of carrying knives in public places.

“We are pleading with the public to come forward and assist police in their enquiries to find out who mur- dered our son as we are currently living in a nightmare; our family is incomplete without Jason and will never be the same again.”

On Friday (November 24), a £20,000 reward was also offered for information surrounding the fatal stabbing.

A 17-year-old male, arrested on Monday (November 20) and taken to a west London police station, has been bailed to return on a date in mid-December.
