Nightly tributes paid to killed teen Jason
VICTIM’S FRIENDS GATHER BY FLORAL TRIBUTE TO SHARE THEIR GRIEF
EVERY night, those who knew and loved teenager Jason Isaacs gather at the spot where he was killed to bring his memory to life.
They share stories and memories of the 18-year-old while sat on plastic chairs or the ground around a telegraph pole adorned with floral tributes.
Jason, a massive QPR fan, was allegedly attacked in Newnham Close, Northolt, on November 18, and lost his life three days later in hospital.
Weeks later, the tributes in the residential street remain, including flowers, lanterns, messages and Queen’s Park Rangers memorabilia and tickets for future games.
A Northolt resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “Every night there are kids sitting around a little patio heater, paying tribute to him and sharing stories.
“There is quite a tight-knit community of them and they are always there, just talking about him, lighting candles and sorting out all the flowers.”
In a heartbreaking tribute shortly after his death, Jason’s mother said: “Our amazing, beautiful Jason went out with friends for a night out and a few drinks.
“Our lives are in pieces. Every piece of information is really important. For Jason, make that call, thank you.”
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on November 30 and has been charged with murder.
Officers from Metropolitan Police are still investigating and are asking anyone who witnessed what happened shortly before 10.30pm in Newnham Close to contact them.
