Everything is better in pairs

-

HERE at RSPCA Middlesex North West branch we currently have a number of cats all looking for new loving homes together.

While adopting one cat is great, nobody can deny that there are benefits to adopting pairs of cats. Pairs of cats often have an easier time adjusting to a new home environment. Having your best friend to lean on can be a huge comfort when adjusting to a new home. Best of all, once they have made themselves at home they will have a live-in playmate!

There’s nothing better to keep a cat occupied than having another cat around for entertainment and adventures. Hades and Zeus have been signed over as their owner was unable to cope with their ongoing care.

These boys are lovely cats; very friendly, affectionate, and used to being around kids so would make ideal family pets. They are also used to living with other cats so may accept a home with an existing cat or two.

Hades and Zeus are lively, playful cats who must have direct access to a garden to explore and call their own.

Alfie and Tippy are a sweet pair of cats signed over after a complaint was made regarding their welfare.

Alfie and Tippy are both very bold outgoing cats, they adore attention and fuss, and can be very jealous of one another. If one gets a bit of fuss, the other will often come racing over to barge them out of the way. They are both lap lovers and if they can’t both fit on your lap they will snuggle down next to you.

These cats love life and are still very playful, especially with one another, still enjoying the odd game of rough and tumble. They love exploring outside so a garden is going to be essential.

Mack & Toshi are two cats signed over to us from a large multi cat household. They hadn’t been used to a great deal of one to one attention which meant they were extremely nervous when they arrived in our care.

Having had a few months to settle in and get used to their surroundings they have really begun to develop great personalities of their own, though you should still expect them to hide away a lot in the beginning.

Mack has become a very cheeky young lady, she is always first at the door when she knows someone is about to see what they are up to, as it may involve a tasty treat for her too! Toshi is still the more wary of the two, happy to let Mack make the first move and follow her lead.

They have made such amazing progress from cats who wouldn’t allow you near them at all, to coming over taking treats off you.

If you think you could offer a forever home to any of these lovely pairs of felines or any of the cats, rabbits or small animals we currently have in our care looking for a home for life then please call us on (020) 8966 9688 or email us at info@ rspcamiddlesex.org.uk.
