GLEBE PUPILS GET HANDS-ON AT LYSANDER HOUSE
CHILDREN from Glebe Primary School in Ickenham visited a retirement development to brush up on their gardening skills, with the help of some of the development’s greenfingered homeowners.
A group of children from years three to five dropped in to McCarthy and Stone’s Lysander House development, in High Road, helping to get the homeowners’ garden blooming for the summer months ahead.
Karen Hampshire, media administrator at Glebe Primary School, said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon of gardening at Lysander House and it was great to see the homeowners helping the children plant beautiful flowers and enjoying each other’s company.
“We are grateful to McCarthy and Stone for inviting us to the development and we hope everyone at Lysander House enjoys their lovely garden in the coming months.”
Stephen Rolt, regional sales and marketing director at McCarthy and Stone North London, said: “We would like to extend our thanks to the children of Glebe Primary School, who displayed some excellent gardening skills during their visit to Lysander House.
“A tight-knit community and companionship are among the many benefits of living at a McCarthy and Stone development; and welcoming local children to spend time with homeowners is a fantastic example of this here at Lysander House.”
