Playful Lola needs loving home

-

LOVELY Lola is one of five siblings who came to us for rehoming when their owner could no longer keep them due to a change in circumstances.

This beautiful ginger and white five year old is a confident and affectionate girl who loves a fuss and being brushed but also has a very playful side to her character.

She enjoys her food but is intolerant of certain brands so will need to keep to the diet that agrees with her.

Lola has previously been an indoor cat and could happily live with other felines, calm children and possibly a cat-friendly dog.

Do you have lots of love and the purrfect forever home to offer lovely Lola? If so, please get in touch.

We have eight lovely hens looking for a new home as their previous owner could no longer care for them. They are various colours and range from approximately 1 to 2 years of age. Chickens are social and intelligent birds, who need a stimu- lating environment and the company of their own kind. Suitable accommodation and a safe outdoor area for chickens to exercise and explore are also essential. Further information on keeping chickens as pets is available at www.rspca.org. uk/adviceandwelfare/farm/farmanimals/chickens.

If you can offer a loving home to any of our feathered flock, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Sweet-natured John came into our care through no fault of his own. This gentle giant who is seven years old, loves nothing more than a chin rub and some human attention – particularly if treats are involved.

However he can be rather timid and reserved at first with new people and we hope that won’t put potential adopters off and that they will see beyond the shyness and recognise what a lovely boy he is. John will need a quiet relaxed home and be given the time and understanding to settle in comfortably and regain his confidence. A household with older children and possibly another cat would be suitable, as he has previously lived with other cats.

John is waiting patiently for that special someone to come along and offer him the love and care he deserves. Could that be you?

So far, we’ve enjoyed fairly mild winter weather but if a cold spell strikes, it’s important to ensure that all pets are kept safe and warm.

If you have a garden fish pond, check it every day to make sure the surface is not entirely frozen as poisonous gases can build up under the ice. Don’t break the ice as this can harm the fish, but carefully place a saucepan of hot water on the surface to gently melt a hole in the ice. Never tip boiling water straight onto the pond either, as this can also harm or kill any fish living there.

If you can offer a loving home to any of our animals, call us on 01895 833417 or visit www.rspcahillingdonclinic.org.uk to apply online.
