-

A DRUG dealer has been jailed for 68 months after being caught red handed dealing in Northolt.

Bradley Roberts, 27, from Rugby Avenue, in Sudbury, in Brent, appeared at Isleworth Crown Court on October 1 where he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession of an offensive weapon.

The court heard that on January 21, 2019 officers from Operation Wolverine were on patrol in Northolt when their attention was drawn to a suspicious vehicle which was stopped and the vehicle and occupants were subsequently searched.

Roberts was the passenger of the vehicle and attempted to make off on foot but was immediately detained.

While being searched, Roberts was uncooperative and would not allow his waistband to be searched making officers believe he had items concealed. Before being taken to the police station for a further search a lock knife was located secreted in Roberts’ waistband which he was arrested for. In custody Roberts was found to be in possession of several packages containing a large amount of Class A drugs. He was also in possession of £64.95 in cash. The drugs were analysed and shown to contain crack cocaine with a total weight of 7.49 grams and heroin with a total weight of 6.82 grams.

The crack cocaine was valued at £1,150 and the heroin was valued at £740. Inspector Dan Thompson, from Operation Wolverine, said: “The Wolverines are absolutely committed to tackling drug related violence, we are tenacious in this mission and I hope that this snapshot of some of the work we are doing will give some reassurance to our communities.”
