THOSE who regularly read this column or tune into my Hayes FM show from 8pm every Tuesday will know my quest is to big up Hillingdon and the surrounding area’s most prolific and consistent songwriters and bands.

So one John Donegan will be performing live songs from his upcoming album, entitled Putney, at The Albany Pub, Great Portland Street, on Easter Sunday (April 14).

Although now a permanent Eastcote resident, John was born and raised in south-west London so this latest record pays homage to his upbringing.

It is barely a year since John’s last album, Been Sold Flat, was released so it is obvious to many that Mr Donegan has truly knuckled down to get Putney out for streaming on all the digital forums in such a short time.

John’s third appearance on Hayes FM was on Tuesday night and so the official release of the Putney LP will be The Albany gig.

Tickets are available on the door at the venue or from Sounds of the Suburbs record store in Victoria Road, Ruislip Manor.

On the show on Tuesday March 17, we are honoured to have the extremely talented and passionate Surrey-centred songstress Ashleigh Hennessy, who writes mainly guitarbased songs about real-life experiences and loved ones.
