Danny had a ‘heart of gold’

HEARTFELT tributes have been paid to a man from Uxbridge has died of coronaviru­s.

Danny Sharma, from Hillingdon, spent days in hospital suffering with the virus before he sadly died in the early hours of Thursday, March 26.

He was believed to have been already suffering from underlying health conditions.

Friends, family and loved ones have all paid tribute to him on social media, saying he had a “heart of gold”.

Danny shared updates of his struggle with coronaviru­s while he was in hospital. He first posted about having the virus on March 22, although he may have contracted it long before then. Danny then shared a ‘Day 3 update’ on March 23, where he said he was in intensive care in Hammersmit­h. On March 24, Danny posted his ‘Day 4 update’. “Looks nice out from the window wish I was participat­ing in the Vitamin D,” he wrote. “Finding hard to breath still fighting.”

After losing Danny, tributes have flooded social media.

“Rest in peace fly high such a lovely person with a beautiful soul,” said one person. Another added: “You were always happy and funny and just an all round great guy. Gone far too soon mate. RIP.”

Danny was a well known Sunday League football player in his local area. He also worked on the #HelpTheHom­eless project.

Danny also helped to run Ivy Leaf football club. The club tweeted: “It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of one of our own. He passed away early this morning and will be terribly missed, not just by us, but by the whole of Sunday league football.”
