Tricks, treats and pumpkins to hunt

Free Halloween and Diwali activities at centre

HUNDREDS of trick-ortreaters are expected to descend on intu Uxbridge this week as part of a series of free events being run to keep children entertaine­d during the half term holidays.

A week of Halloween activities for children is on offer, culminatin­g in a spook-tacular trick or treat event where children are invited to dress up and collect treats from any of the centre’s participat­ing shops.

Children will be shown how to make something fangtastic, like a carved pumpkin, witch trinket or scary mask, at different workshops each day and intu’s big trick or treat event will be held on Saturday.

The trick or treat event TJG1ST is being hosted by intu Uxbridge in partnershi­p with 10 of its top shops and restaurant­s who will all be displaying carved pumpkins in the windows of their premises to show that they are taking part in the event.

Special buckets will be available for trick or treaters to collect from its customer service desk in return for a voluntary donation to their partner charities CRY and Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

Activities are free, with no booking required and are open to all ages, but are particular­ly suitable for children in pre-school and early years.
