■ The Questors present Measure for Measure by William Shakespear­e: Drama of justice, destructiv­e sexual passion and government.

This powerful, ambiguous drama raises challengin­g questions about the power of the state over the individual, as Isabella wrestles with the choice between saving her own immortal soul or her brother’s life.

November 5 to December 3

■ Five-week introducti­on to musical

theatre: Do you love musicals? Do you fancy having a go at singing songs from your favourite shows and learning a bit about musical theatre? If yes, then this should be just up your street

Sessions will run every Saturday for five weeks, from 5 November with a showcase on the last Saturday. There will be no audition, just come along and have fun.

The course will be led by Rachel Moorhead and Carole Smith, who recently worked together on The Questors’ successful production of Stephen’s Sondheim’s A Little Light Music.

They will be leading you through what will surely be a course to uplift the spirit. Non-members £60, Members £45, 8pm to 10pm.
