Adams leads the way

AMARI Adams led the goal fest for West Drayton Explorers U13s as they hit double figures in a league cup win over FC Chippenham at the weekend.

Adams hit four in the 10-3 drubbing which saw doubles for Jayden Blackwood and Alfie Taylor, one each for Hunayn Abbas Ali Zaidi and Flynn Withers. Gurvir Rattan was named man of the match.

There was smooth cup progress too for the U12s who clipped the wings of Golden Eagles 6-0 thanks to hat-trick man Joseph Davies and one each from Samuel Spasov, Adam Devin and Kian Edwards.

The U10 Blues also hit six in beating BJ Leopards Yellows 6-1, Alberto RodriguezO­wens and Ciaran West both bagging doubles, while Christophe­r Burton and Kai Barham were also on target.

Finn Murphy, Senay Mahdere and Tyler Palfrey were the men on the mark for the U10 Purples as they despatched Chalfont Saints 3-0, keeper Patrick Hickey taking the man of the match honours for a string of impressive saves.

And completing a trio of great results in this age-group the U10 Reds also won an entertaini­ng game against Taplow United 3-2, thanks to Ethan Cupido’s double and one for Joe Rossiter.

The U8 Reds won not once but twice in the Developmen­t Cup, a hat-trick for Odeiro Brand and one from Aleks Kovelenko beating Singh Sabba 4-1 before an Harrison Naughton goal sealed a 1-0 success over Boyne Hill Bullets.

This feat was matched by the U8 Blues who saw off S4K Bears 3-0 with goals from Daniel Mickale, Natu Yohannes and Ava Lyon before winning aa tighter affair with Windsor Owl Whites 3-2, Yohannes scoring twice and Lyon once.

Amandio Moreiro was a two-goal hero for the U7s in their 4-1 Developmen­t Cup success at Taplow where Filip Ponski and Kajus Cepas were also on the mark.

This followed a 1-0 win over Delaford, Lucas Darzinskas getting the goal there.

The U11s were the other winners, Joe Fernandez scoring as they beat Bessingby Park Rangers 1-0, but there were defeats for the U9s, U15s and U16s.
