Animal Rescue with Marion Garnett

Dedicated animal expert Marion Garnett, founder of the Ealing Animal Welfare Bazaar, continues her column

YOU can rely on The Mayhew Animal Home to have a full programme of exciting events in the lead up to Christmas and this year is no exception. Mind you, in order to help animals such as Flower, they need them.

Can you believe this Yorkshire terrier was found abandoned on the streets? What must people have thought who came across her running about with no owner?

After they took her in, the centre made a wonderful video of her running, in the wind, on the Scrubs – the picture of a happy dog. Flower is affectionate and sensitive. She builds strong bonds with people she trusts and loves to climb onto laps for a cuddle.

She would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She has luxating patellas so potential owners will need to speak to The Mayhew about this.

Currently Flower is in a foster home but if you are interested in adopting her, see details at themayhew.org or call 020 8962 8000.
