Crowbar-wielding gang of men tried to get into home

Gang smash up two cars after failing to get into property

WITNESS APPEAL: A GROUP of men armed with crowbars and baseball bats tried to break into a property in South Ruislip before they smashed up two cars parked outside.

The incident happened on Thursday November 10 in Portal Close at around 8pm.

During their attempts to get into the residentia­l property, between four and six offenders were disturbed by the occupant, at which point they damaged the cars parked outside.

They then made off in a large 4x4 type vehicle towards Wet End Road.

DC Barrett with Hillingdon CID is investigat­ing and is calling for witnesses to come forward.

Extra patrols will be in place thanks to the South Ruislip Safer Neighbourh­oods Team who will be reassuring residents and looking to identify any suspicious behaviour.

HAYES and Harlington MP John McDonnell joined health bosses to open a new pharmacy at Hillingdon Hospital.

Mr McDonnell toured the new outpatient facility on Monday November 14 with the chief executive of Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Shane Degaris and chief pharmacist Andrew Caunce.

The new facility was funded by Hillingdon Clinical Commission­ing Group (CCG) and features new high-tech equipment, including a waiting time display.

Shadow Chancellor Mr McDonnell said: “Knowing you are actually in the queue and being dealt with promptly is wonderful and that is all about the patient's welfare.”

The Labour MP was also shown the dispensing area and the computerco­ntroller robot that picks out drugs and delivers them from the store room.

Mr McDonnell thanked the CCG and staff for their hard work. PHARMACY VISIT:

Mr Caunce said: “The new outpatient pharmacy is a significan­t improvemen­t as patients can now get any medicines immediatel­y following their outpatient appointmen­t.”
