Longley scores all five as club draw the Vipers’ bite

-

OLIVER Longley had a day to remember as West Drayton Explorers under-9s stayed on target for silverware in the Development Cup this week.

Longley hit all five goals in a 5-1 Development Cup win over Chalfont Saints Vipers, though he still had to share man of the match honours with teammate Naod Ermais.

The U10 Blues also advanced in The Development Trophy, but their win was a close-run thing as they edged a nine-goal thriller 5-4 against KS Kryf.

Ciaran West and Alberto Rodriguez-Owens scored doubles with Explorers’ other goal coming courtesy of Elliott Tackley.

Ranvier Jamgotre’s brace helped the U11s to another good win as they saw off the challenge of Pitshanger 4-1. Freddie MullockBowler and Godwin Usifo were Explorers’ other youngsters on target in the victory.

The U16s were Explorers’ other winners, their win coming the hard way against Bourne End. The teenagers looked destined for defeat when they trailed 2-0, but a double from Zubair Naseri and one for Jack Fowler saw them triumph 3-2. Neige Ngonga Mbambe was named man of the match.

For goals, the U8 Reds were the team to watch this week as they shared 12 with SK4 Bears. Cairo Jones got a brace and there was one apiece for Aleks Kovalenko, Reuben Lury, Oderio Brand and man of the match Lucas Tackley.

The U10 Reds also drew 1-1 with BJ Leopards Blues thanks to a strike from Harry Todd, while the U10 Purples lost 4-2 in a scrap against Thames Valley, their goals from Rokas Batrusaitis and Finn Murphy.

Heathrow Youth U13s shared the goals around as they drew the sting of Junior Bees on Sunday.

Zack Rogers, Alfie Brown, Jake Greenidge and Mohammed Hemmeida all claimed a goal apiece in the 4-1 victory, where skipper Grankie Major was named man of the match.
