AHIGHLY inventive and original psychedelic/ indie/prog/pop outfit from the Hillingdon borough known as Furs & Masks play Kilburn’s prestigious venue The Good Ship on Saturday.

Furs & Masks are a Northwood-based three piece who have just finished their month-long residency at The Crown and Treaty, Uxbridge, which has been a resounding success.

Check them out at www.soundcloud.com/furs-and-masks.

They headline the Good Ship event, which also showcases three other acts. Furs & Masks are currently adding the final touches to their debut EP which is due for release in early December.

Sharing the bill are a catchy and loud bunch going by the name of Fox Opera (www.foxopera.bandcamp.com), Empire Kings (www.theempirekings.com), who are melodic and gritty, and an Australian alternative indie folk duo called Harley Young Music (www.harleyyoungmusic.com).

You can find The Good Ship on Kilburn High Road and the doors open at around 7pm. All this for a fiver on the door? Can’t be bad!

Don’t forget there are three live and original acts playing this Thursday at The Crown and Treaty in Oxford Road, Uxbridge, for an experimental live TV internet stream for www. tropicalfm.com, so if you fancy popping along to support Holy Faction, Mandolin Monday, Polly Pikpocketz or Sectioned then please feel free. The more the merrier.

Doors open at 8pm and it’s free entry.

Be sure to tune into my interactive HayesFM radio show every Tuesday at 8pm to hear live and original performers, plus great tunes, chat and more local live music news. You can find HayesFM on 91.8fm in London or global on www.hayesfm.org.uk.
