■ X FACTOR winner Matt Terry, above, is to play Alex The Lion in the UK tour of Madagascar – A Musical Advancer.
Matt, who won the ITV singing contest in 2016, says: “I am so excited to be making my acting debut in the brand new production. I can’t wait to be playing the lead role of Alex and bringing him to life. Expect incredible costumes, set and cast.
“And the music is immense.” The tour runs from July 21 to the end of the year.

■ AWARD-WINNING comedian and voice of TV’s Love Island Iain Stirling, right, is bringing out his first book and will be performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer.
Not Ready To Adult Yet is being published by HarperCollins on August 24 and sees Iain looking back at his journey to adulthood and asking why millennials are the way they are.

■ BAFTA award-winning BBC series Blue Planet II is to embark on a 13-date arena tour next March.
It will see the wonders and mysteries of the planet’s oceans and wildlife projected onto a state-ofthe-art 200 square-metre screen, accompanied by the original music score by Bleeding Fingers Music performed by a full symphony orchestra.
