ABBA SONGS AND BIRDS OF PREY BRING JOY TO CAR HOME PARTY

-

THE eagle really landed at a West Drayton care home with a visit from brids of prey.

Hawks, owls and a bald eagle joined residents at Care UK’s The Burroughs on Mill Road for the home’s annual party.

As well as meeting feathery friends, Burroughs residents and visitors enjoyed an afternoon filled with fun for all, including a bouncy castle, tombola and family-friendly games.

Guests tapped their feet to live entertainment, including an ABBA tribute band and local singer Ash Lee.

To top off the day, everyone was treated to a barbecue, as well as tea, cakes and ice cream.

Saad Baig, home manager at The Burroughs, said: “Hosting a summer party provides us with a great opportunity to invite the local community to join us for a day of family-friendly fun.

“Animals can play an important role in the lives and wellbeing of older people, especially those living with dementia, and it was great to see so many smiling faces. Burroughs resident Sylvia Ainge with one of the singers from ABBA tribute band

“Here at The Burroughs, it is important for us to build strong relationships with local community, so it was brilliant to see so many of our neighbours come along.

“We would like to say a big thank you to the people of West Drayton for making the day so special.”
