Need a Buddy or a Max?

-

HONEY and Max are adorable golden oldies with so much love to give. They have always lived with one another and are desperate for a loving home where they can remain together during their twilight years. Honey is 10 years old and little Max is 13 but both have lots of enthusiasm for life and enjoy their walks and pottering around the garden.

They’ve lived with cats and are used to children. They do have a touch of arthritis and Max is a little hard of hearing, but neither require medication at this stage.

Could you offer this wonderful pair the love and care they want so badly?

Xena

This beautiful seven-month-old Rottweiler cross who is looking for a loving active home with experience of this or similar large breeds. She already been passed between two homes through no fault of her own and she now badly needs the love and stability.

The fun-loving pup who enjoys playing with her ball and is very foody which will help with ongoing training. She walks well on the lead but is quite strong and is obviously going to grow into a large dog. Xena could live with another dog and she would be fine with older children who could cope with her bounciness! This lovely girl is so deserving of a happy active home, where she can enjoy all the love and attention that has been sadly lacking in her short lifetime.

Buddy

Buddy is a four-year-old ginger cat who came to us with some of his siblings as his owners could no longer care for them. He is a sweet but shy lad who can appear rather reserved but once familiarity has been established, he loves a fuss and enjoys being brushed.

With lots of love and TLC, Buddy will soon grow in confidence and become an affectionate companion. Buddy would be able to live with another cat and/or a calm dog. He could also live with older children prepared to let him have his own space while settling in.

Gritting warning

Roads and pavements are being gritted in the cold snap but rock salt can be highly toxic to dogs and cats if they lick it from their fur. Avoid walking dogs in gritted areas if possible and if you suspect contact – wash and dry paws, legs and tummy. If you suspect your pet may have ingested rock salt, contact your vet immediately.
