SOME say the glamorous age of air travel is over.
A look across the check-in desks at any budget airline’s counter is likely to yield herds of “lads on tour”, sniffling tots, crying babies and a selection of the most comfy footwear and PJs the travelling public can just about get away with.
But that isn’t always true at Heathrow Airport, where they are currently looking for someone to sell diamonds to the rich and possibly famous. Tiffany’s at the airport is hiring an assistant store manager to help shift the precious stones, other gems and designer jewellery.
The job pays anywhere between £30,000 and £37,000 depending on experience and a 10% bonus on top.
Diamonds are forever, and so is this full-time role, for which you have to “effectively lead, develop and support the sales and operations team members of a store”.
You will also be in charge of maintaining the “luxurious experience” in store and building relationships with clients.

Every day there are around 1,300 “movements” at Heathrow, and with more flights expected to be added each year Heathrow needs to squeeze a lot into very little time.
Airport Coordination Limited is looking for an “airport slot coordinator” to process the requested landing and take-off times from airlines and match them to slots in the schedule.
