The vast and the luxurious
LA home of Fast & Furious producer is as spectacular as his movies
FILM producer Steve Chasman is the man behind action-thriller movie series The Fast & The Furious, but when he’s not at work he clearly loves life at a far more relaxed pace.
Steve and his actress wife Nadia Fares’ home was custom-built to take maximum advantage of stunning views across the Pacific Ocean, vineyards and surrounding lush hillsides.
Situated on a 1.2acre plot in the most exclusive community of the Pacific Palisades – so exclusive, there are only around 30 homes there, with dedicated 24/7 guard gate security – the Mediterranean-style mansion on Shadow Mountain Drive is currently on the market for $16,900,000.
With six bedrooms and six bathrooms, it’s certainly spacious and has been designed throughout with a California contemporary feel – white and bright with wood-beamed ceilings and hardwood floors.
The only exception is the glamorous media screening room with its black walls, black furnishings and fireplace.
Downstairs, a large foyer with curving staircase leads to the living room which has beamed wooden ceilings and panoramic windows. A formal dining room is boasts arched windows, and there’s a dining kitchen which is ideal for entertaining.
Outside, features include a fountain, side lawn surrounded by trees creating a secret garden and a large shaded swimming pool terrace.
Describing Shadow Mountain Estate, Nadia said: “When I saw the ocean view and looked around at all the magnificent trees and could hear birds chirping because it was so quiet – it was so serene, peaceful and beautiful. I will miss sitting outside around the fire pit enjoying the sunset and staring at the ocean and the vineyard.”
