THE Prime Minister responded to being reelected by Uxbridge and South Ruislip by awarding them a new hospital.

Boris Johnson made the announcement after the announcement of election results at the count at Brunel University.

His celebrity draw was apparent, with a huge group of students pressing their noses against the building’s translucent wall and cheering his name.

Reiterating his widely debunked NHS commitments, Boris Johnson reaffirmed his commitment to hire 50,000 more nurses and 6,00 more GPs and also committed to building a new hospital in Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

The hospital will likely replace Hillingdon Hospital. Recently all children’s care was moved out of the hospital after it was declared “unsafe”.

Speaking after securing 25,351 votes, the Prime Minister said: “I don’t want to tempt fate because clearly lots of results are still coming in and we’re still only dealing with projections, but at this stage it does look as though this one-nation Conservative government has been given a powerful new mandate.

“To get Brexit done, and not just to get Brexit done but to unite this country and take it forward. To focus on the priorities of the British people and above all the NHS, and yes we will recruit 50,000 more nurses and 6,00 more GPs. We will build 40 new hospitals across the country and I’m proud to say one of those hospitals will be Uxbridge and South Ruislip.”

Slightly increasing his majority from 5,034 to 7,210, he added: “I’m grateful once again to the people of South Ruislip for returning me to serve you. It is an absolute privilege to do this job and to work for you.

“I thank once again, the police and the council, who worked so hard all night to count for us. I thank my fellow candidates, in all their glory. Lord Buckethead, Elmo and others.

“But above all I want to thank the people of this country for turning out to vote in a December election, that we didn’t want to call but I think has turned out to be a historic election that gives us now, in this new government, the chance to respect the democratic will of the British people.

“To change this country for the better and

to unleash the potential of the entire people of this country is what we will now do.”
