AN ENGLISHMAN’S home is his castle (or so the saying goes). But unlike castles, houses can be largely defenceless if anyone does want to attack. We can lock our doors and install alarms and CCTV but unfortunately, a determined burglar will often find their way in.

The latest Met Police data shows that between November 2018 and October 2019 there were around 2,250 burglaries across the borough of Hounslow, including both residential and commercial properties.

The threat of burglary varies across different areas of Hounslow.

In Turnham Green there were more than twice as many burglaries as the average for the borough, and three times more than in Isleworth, Feltham West and Hounslow Central.

On average 18.6 properties were burgled in Turnham Green every month over the 12-month period, while just six each month were targeted in Hounslow Central. Where does your ward stand?
