‘Willy Waggler of Wormwood Scrubs’ targets locals

-

POLICE are hunting for a flasher in west London dubbed by locals as the ‘Willy Waggler of Wormwood Scrubs’.

The man approached a female dog walker on Wormwood Scrubs on Friday May 22 and exposed himself.

The woman, who is local but wishes to remain anonymous, gave her account of coming face to face with the flasher.

She said that this was not the first time he has flashed people – also ‘getting’ an elderly neighbour as well as two other dog walkers.

The witness said: “Yesterday I walked my dog as always on Big Scrubs, then sat under my tree, for my daily meditate. After I finished, a young male approached me waggling his willy.

“I shouted things at him I cannot repeat on here, to which he responded quite calmly: ‘Sorry’, while willy waggling at me more.

“Infuriated that was his response, I dialled 999.

“He did the same to my 70 year old neighbour the other day. She is rather posh. So all she said was ‘Honestly! This is a public place’.

“To which he replied again ‘Sorry!’ followed by ‘that’s why I like it’. On that occasion, he was not in the woods but sat on a bench facing the football pitches. It turns out he has done this to two more of my dog walking friends.

“Personally? I think the police should try a bit harder.”

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 2.10pm on Friday May 22 to a report of a man exposing himself in parkland at Wormwood Scrubs, W10. Officers are investigating. There has been no arrest at this stage.

“Anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101, with reference 4408/22may.”

“To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers.”
