Former Tory club building’s up for grabs at £1.8m
THE former Conservative and Unionist Club in Southall is up for auction and could be yours for around £1.8 million.
The 1.13-acre site, located in Southall High Street, boasts offices, kitchens, function room with a bar, a conservatory, cellar space, snooker room and residential areas.
It is up for auction with John Pye Property, which has given it a guide price of £1.8 million.
The building was originally constructed in 1913 before being extended in the 1930s.
It was given a full renovation in 2013.
In the main building the ground floor is split into two main areas, one of which is a club space with bar and kitchen.
The second includes a large function room with bar.
There is also a conservatory space overlooking the garden, while there are numerous toilets and storage spaces throughout.
There is also a beer cellar and additional storage space in the basement.
On the first floor there is a snooker room with enough space for three tables, a large office space as well, as well as access to the residential portion of the building, which is a two bedroom residential apartment spread over the first and second floors.
As well as the large garden outside, the site also has a car park and separate detached office building.
Richard Reed, head of property at John Pye, said: “We’re delighted to bring this property to auction – it presents a unique opportunity to developers and is in a great location in the borough of Ealing.
“The building was originally constructed in 1913 and extended in the 1930s, benefiting from a full renovation in 2013.
“The site is roughly rectangular in shape and flat, with both car parking and a lawn, so it has great potential to be redeveloped, subject to planning.
“The auction is due to close on September 24, so we’re advising anyone interested to get in touch.”
Successful buyers will purchase the freehold of the site, which will be vacant upon completion.
