TWO West London men who violently attacked a man in Ealing town centre have been jailed, although one is believed to have fled the country and is now on the run.

Sahal Sharif, 25, and Osman Abdi, 21, attacked the 32-year-old victim on The Broadway in July 2019, leaving him unconscious and with a fractured skull and facial injuries.

Sharif, of no fixed abode, and Abdi, of Penard Road, Southall, were arrested a short distance away from where the fight happened, which started following a ‘verbal altercation’.

Both were found guilty of GBH and violent disorder at Isleworth Crown Court on October 23. Abdi was sentenced to six years imprisonment and an additional 6 months for breaching a suspended sentence.

Sharif is believed to have fled the country but was jailed for six years in his absence.

The Metropolitan Police have said “officers are attempting to locate him”.

Detectives are still investigating the fight on The Broadway, which happened on July 20, 2019, and are asking for help from the public in identifying two suspects.
