Immerse yourself in the world of books

-

WORLD Book Day 2021 is taking place on March 4 and is just a matter of weeks away.

This is an event where everyone and anyone can immerse themselves in the world of books, and what better way to celebrate World Book Day 2021 than asking children to get creative with any art or craft specialism and bring their favourite fictitious hero to life.

The popular world book event is set to look a little different for families in West London this year, leading online toy retailer Bargain Max has launched a competition asking children aged up to 16 years across the country, to make their favourite fictitious hero book character using any form of arts and craft.

With families stuck at home running out of ways to entertain their children, parents and carers are encouraged to submit their children’s homemade crafty creations via Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win one of five prizes, with a £100 Bargain Max gift voucher as the top prize up for grabs.

To be in with a chance of winning one of five amazing prizes, the creations will need to have a stamp of originality and feature a heroic fictitious character from your child’s favourite book using arts and crafts materials found at home. For example, you could use Lego to build Hogwarts with Harry Potter centre stage, or use tin foil found in your kitchen to create the Tin Woodman of Oz (from The Wizard of Oz). With some many fantastic books, the creative possibilities are endless! The competition closing date falls on February 17 at 23.59pm, which will be followed by a shortlisting stage before the five winners are finally chosen.

For families interested in entering their children’s creations, full competition terms and conditions can be found on the Bargain Max website at www.bargainmax.co.uk/ world-book-day-2021
