J-LO falls for ‘serial celeb dater’ A-rod
She’s getting serious with the notorious ladies’ man – and friends are worried
After years of searching, Jennifer Lopez has at last found a man who knows how to properly abbreviate a name. J-LO and A-rod – AKA baseball player and dater of celebrities, Alex Rodriguez – were spotted looking loved-up in the Bahamas last week, just days after it was reported they were dating. But friends fear that the singer has chosen yet another bad boy.
“It’s always the same with Jen, everyone worries she has a terrible taste in men,” says an insider close to the singer. Most recently, the mum of two had a short fling with Drake, which ended when he was seen cosying up to a porn star in Amsterdam.
The source adds, “Jen’s friends joke about her history, but they’re worried about this relationship. Alex is a known ladies’ man and things did not go well with [his exes] Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz. Everyone wants Jen to find someone great, but it seems Alex has a problem with commitment. He only broke up with his last girlfriend a few weeks ago. ”
It’s thought J-rod (A-LO?) have been dating since February. Since then, they’ve been spending time together in Miami where the 47 year old – who’s been married three times and engaged twice more – is currently recording her Spanish album. Last week, Jen posted an Instagram story showing Alex, 41 – who reportedly has a portrait of himself as a centaur in his house – nuzzling her ear, before quickly deleting it.
“Jen is in love with love,” says the friend of the megastar, who admitted in 2015, “I actually believe in [love] more now. Just because I’ve had relationships that didn’t go as planned, it doesn’t mean that I think, ‘Oh, God, love doesn’t exist.’ No, it does exist.”
The source continues, “This relationship may be good for A-rod’s career [he’s about to start a new job as TV sports commentator] but although she’s reassured her friends it’s fine, some are worried it could end up really hurting Jen.”
