Our favourite Little Mix-er is in love again
Well, that was weird, wasn’t it? First, Little Mix posted a picture with Jesy Nelson cropped out, claiming she was having a crisis of confidence and “doesn’t like any of the photos”. Then the singing minx took to her own Instagram two days later, to post a huge pile of pictures of herself from the LA awards do. So, what happened? heat has the answer – and that answer is her hot new boyfriend, Chris Clark.
“Chris is bringing out the best in Jesy,” says an insider close to the TOWIE star, 22, who confirmed his relationship last week by commenting “my girl” on a pic of Jesy, 25. “Chris is trying to give her a much-needed confidence boost. He knows her looks have been an issue for her, so he’s been making a point of liking her posts, leaving supportive messages on social media and telling her how great she looks. He gave her a pep talk after the awards do, which really helped. She’s still not 100 per cent there yet, but she’s feeling much better.”
Friends say Jesy has been struggling with her confidence since splitting from her fiancé, singer Jake Roche, last November. “She’s been really down about her appearance for a while now,” says an insider close to the girl group, who all looked amazing as they picked up an award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in L A last week. Perrie Edwards later uploaded a picture of her, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-anne Pinnock from the event – with Jesy’s hair just about in shot. She wrote, “Jesy is cropped out of the picture because she doesn’t like any of the photos!” The insider adds, “Jesy always thinks the other girls look better than her in shoots and videos. She had a meltdown over her appearance at the NKCA, but Chris really helped. Everyone’s hoping he will help Jesy see how stunning she is.” n
