Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have called off their divorce (again), and last week Ben revealed he’d spent two weeks in rehab as an “ongoing step to recovery” from alcohol addiction, something he added he had to do to be “the best father I can be”. But is Jen really pregnant? With two? Someone get us a paper bag to blow into.
W hile it might seem too incredible to be true, Jen’s friends say a potential pregnancy is the talk of her friendship
group. A source tells heat, “The other night, when she met up with the girls in Beverly Hills, she didn’t touch any alcohol. Instead, she drank mineral water. When anyone asked her about it, she insisted she was on a health kick, but it certainly raised a few eyebrows.”
And no wonder. The couple – parents to Violet, Seraphina, eight, and Samuel, five – broke up in summer 2015, thanks to Ben’s “destructive behaviour”. A month after that, their amicable split was rocked by claims Ben had slept with the family nanny, which he denied, and Jen later called “bad judgement”. And while they’ve since put on a united family front, their relationship is said to have been up and down. Just after heat reported last month that Ben had moved back into the family home, Jen was said to have finally filed for divorce – before doing a U-turn two weeks ago.
In his rehab statement, Ben praised Jen, saying, “I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me.”
And friends are speculating her desire for a bigger family could be behind her decision to give the marriage another shot. The insider says, “She has made no secret of the fact she’d love more children. No one really expected it to happen, especially after she filed for divorce. But now it looks like they are going to be back under one roof, and she might get her dream after all.”
