Binky’s ROYAL birthing plan

She wants to copy Kate Middleton – but it comes at a price…

-

We’ve only just seen her Made In Chelsea castmates’ jaws hit the floor at her exciting baby news on screen, so it’s hard to believe that Binky Felstead is due in just three months’ time. As revealed in heat last week, Binky is having a girl, and has the birth all planned out with a very royal feel.

“Binky is talking about booking a bed in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington [where Duchess Kate had both her children]. She wants to have the baby delivered by Tom Setchell – the son of Marcus Setchell.

Marcus not only delivered Binky and her siblings, but Prince George, too. Marcus retired a couple of years ago, but Tom [a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist] is very highly thought of indeed.”

Our source adds, “Binky wants the best and loves the idea of having her little girl delivered by the ‘royal’ doctor. She’s been joking that she’s basically a princess, anyway, so if it’s good enough for Kate, she’s happy! She’s heard great things about the Lindo Wing – it has the reputation of being one of the best places in London, without the ridiculous price tag of the Portland [another swanky private hospital, where

Victoria Beckham and Liz Hurley have both given birth].”

But the royal association doesn’t come that cheap. “It’s still costing an absolute fortune, but Binky doesn’t care,” we’re told. The Lindo Wing costs £10,000 for a natural birth and around £13,000 for a caesarean.

But, luckily for the new parents, they plan on saving cash on childcare. “Binky won’t be hiring a posh nanny, as she’s got her mum on standby for baby duties,” says our source. “Once Binky leaves hospital, mum Jane will be there to help out. Jane lives on the same road in Fulham as Binky and will be there to help her daughter with anything she needs. She can’t wait to become a grandmother, and has told Binky that she will definitely be there when Binky decides to go back to work.” The baby’s father JP is going to be heavily involved, too, with Binky recently admitting she’ll be a “working mum” with JP being a “full-time dad”.

Unfortunately, issues around work do seem to be a bone of contention between Binky and JP. After Binky recently said, “We are not sure how the baby will feature when it arrives, there’s still a lot to talk about,” sources close to the pair say Binky’s keen to have her little one feature in

Made In Chelsea, but JP isn’t convinced. Our source explains, “They’ve been arguing about it – he thinks they should keep their child out of the spotlight. She just keeps telling JP they’ll ‘discuss it later’, but she’s determined to get her own way.”
