The singer is serious with A-rod after meeting the new in-laws

How many times do we have to go through this with you, Jennifer Lopez? The thrice-married, five-times-engaged singer is weeks into a new relationship with baseball legend Alex Rodriguez, and – after spending a cosy weekend with his family – is already telling friends she wants a wedding. NO, J-LO.

“They’re seriously talking about getting married,” says an insider close to the new couple, who have been dating since February. “Jennifer’s told Alex she wants something like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had in Italy back in 2006 – she wants a castle. Neither of them is short of cash, so there’ll be no expense spared.”

The singer has never been shy about her love of love, even admitting a few years ago to being a “love addict” who has “a fear of being on [my] own”. After failed marriages with Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony, Jen split from backing dancer Casper Smart last August after five years, before having a fling with Drake.

The marriage talk came after an intense few days for the pair, as Alex, 41, took his new lady to meet the family. His sister Suzy posted a photo with Jen, 47, calling the singer “sweet” and later adding a second photo with the caption #miscuñis, which is Spanish slang for sister-in-law.

“Jen has really hit it off with Alex’s family,” adds the source. “She and Alex both realised this is something very real between them. Part of their attraction is how successful and good-looking they both are, but spending time with Alex’s family made them realise it’s more than that.”

And friends say it doesn’t hurt that Jen’s twins – Emme and Max, nine – like mum’s new man. We’re told, “Max is a huge fan of A-rod, he worships him. Max never really understood why his mother is mega-famous, but with A-rod? Max is beside himself. Jennifer is on cloud nine about it. She stayed with Casper for longer than she might have because the kids loved him. Jen was worried she wouldn’t find another guy they felt the same way about, so she’s thrilled they like Alex so much.”

The pair have barely been apart in weeks, with a stream of dinner and gym dates in Miami and a baseball game in Florida. They even managed to squeeze in a holiday together in the Bahamas, where Jen posted a cute Instagram pic of them, before quickly deleting it. Love Don’t Cost A Thing, right?
