Mark Wright wants to marry Michelle Keegan – again
As wedding season kicks off, Mark is coming over all emosh
Last weekend, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan got their glad rags on for Michelle’s best friend Hayley Moynihan’s wedding in Oman. Uploading a pre-wedding selfie to Snapchat on their way to the nuptials – which showed Michelle had controversially chosen to wear a white dress to the service – the pair looked like they didn’t have a care in the world.
But things took an emotional turn once they arrived at the venue with Mark, 30, becoming tearful at the ceremony, held at the exclusive Muscat Hills Resort. A source told heat, “It made Mark all emotional and he suggested to Michelle they should get married again. They both love the Middle East, where Hayley and her husband live, and it reminds Mark of all the good times they’ve had – they met and got engaged in Dubai. They’ve also had some awesome celebrations in the last six months, for weddings, christenings and 30ths, so he thinks a party in Dubai would be fantastic – and renewing their vows would top it off. Also, he’d quite like to be the centre of attention again!”
The pair married in 2015 at St Mary’s Church in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, with Mark saying, “Every time I looked at Michelle, I went to cry.” But it’s not just his love for his wife behind his plans. Our source adds, “It’s a way of sticking two fingers up at the rumours they’re constantly on the verge of splitting up.”
Over the last year, there have been whispers about difficulties in Camp Marchelle, with the pair spending time apart while the actress filmed in Manchester and South Africa. And while Mark’s said to be keen to have children, Michelle, 29, is about to jet off again to film the new series of
Our Girl. Our source adds, “Mark would renew his vows at the drop of a hat and was telling Michelle to think of the party. It’s part of a plan to make her settle down and make their marriage feel even more important. But Michelle feels it’s too early in the marriage to be renewing their vows.”
