Mel B’s worried her douchebag ex could leak their sex tapes – and so are the other famous people in them

Barely a day seems to go by without a new dramatic and depressing turn in Mel B’s divorce battle – and last week was no different. heat’s insiders tell us that the former Spice Girl is worried that her soon-to-be ex-husband Stephen Belafonte may be in possession of over 70 recordings of their sex sessions, some featuring recognisable celebs who joined them in the bedroom.
In the restraining order that Mel filed against Stephen, she said he would “demand I participate in sexual intercourse with him and random women”, adding, “He would often surreptitiously videotape these encounters,” and “threaten to release compromising videos of me”.
And last week, Mel and her lawyers turned up to a storage facility in LA where, she claims, Stephen had locked up between 12 and 15 boxes of her belongings, including digital copies of sex tapes, Spice Girls memorabilia and photos of her late father. The police turned up to help Mel gain access, but the unit was empty. Stephen’s lawyer denies he was hiding
sex tapes, claiming that Mel agreed to her stuff being put in storage. Stephen has also strongly denied all the other allegations against him.
Insiders tell heat that Mel’s keen to destroy any videos that do exist, not only to protect herself, but the other people featured, some of whom are high-profile celebrities. “There are a lot of well-known people in the entertainment industry who are now terrified that the tapes could leak if Stephen uses them as evidence against Mel in a court battle,” says the insider. “There’s at least three well-known actresses that have been involved with them, after meeting them at parties and going back to their place for some fun. There’s also two models and a TV presenter. Some of them are well known in the US and some in Australia. Most of this took place at Stephen and Mel’s home in Holly wood. It seems some of them didn’t know they were being filmed and are only finding out now.”
The insider adds that the tapes also include a US reality star, and last week, socialite Lady Victoria Hervey (who had a threesome with Mel and Stephen back in 2007) said Mel had contacted her. “She reached out to me on Instagram by sending me a message saying, ‘Let’s talk about those videos.’ I assumed she meant that we’d been secretly filmed on that night. She said she just doesn’t know if videos exist.”
It’s yet more stress for Mel, who also got a restraining order against the family’s former nanny, Lorraine Gilles, who Mel claims threatened to release the sex tapes after she had an affair with Stephen. Gilles has denied the allegations. And, as heat reported two weeks ago, Victoria Beckham contacted Mel to lend support – and question if Stephen was planning to tell all about the former Spice Girls’ long-running feud. “Mel’s frantic with worry that this will not only embarrass her, but her famous friends, too,” says our insider. “It’s a nightmare.” n
