Speidi made it official
Most fans of The Hills thought their relationship was a showmance, but it’s now eight incredible years since Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag tied the knot, uniting the greatest couple reality TV has ever seen. The pair got engaged in May 2007 and eloped to Mexico on their own (well, save a few invited cameras) to get married in November 2008, before discovering that the marriage wasn’t legal in the US. They made it official in April 2009 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California, in front of 200 guests including Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and Justin Bobby. Heidi had her sister Holly and Spencer’s sister Stephanie as bridesmaids, and, of course, the MTV cameras were there to capture all the action.
The Hills episode “Something Old, Something New” showed Heidi make peace with frenemy Lauren Conrad. Heidi said, “Lauren didn’t want to come to my wedding, and I was shocked when I saw her. That was real, and I was like, ‘Wow! You’re here! This is crazy. They must’ve paid you a lot to come here!’” And that, everyone, is real love and friendship.
