Why Perrie doesn’t want Zayn to see this picture
Fans tagged her former fiancé in photos from her Miami holiday and the star wasn’t happy
We’d kill for a body like Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards, but even the hottest of girl banders can have their insecure days. Pictured mingling with the crowds on a beach in Miami with bandmate Jesy Nelson, 25, last week, Perrie, 23, showcased her incredible figure in high-waisted denim hot pants and a sexy white bralet.
But after changing into some comfy rolled-down shorts later, the star was caught unaware by photographers back at the hotel. And when fans started uploading the photos to Instagram and tagging her in, Perrie personally messaged them asking for the snaps to be taken down. She even appeared to delete her own account temporarily.
A source reveals, “Perrie knew she’d have her photo taken on the beach and she loved her look. But back at the hotel pool, she relaxed and didn’t realise photographers were still around. She hated the photos and felt really insecure when she kept seeing them.”
To make matters worse, fans were also tagging Perrie’s ex-fiancé Zayn Malik, 24 – who is now in a relationship with supermodel Gigi Hadid, 21 – into the pictures in an innocent attempt to show him what he was missing.
Perrie is currently loved-up with footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-chamberlain, 23, but insiders say that didn’t stop her embarrassment. A source says, “Fans were tagging Zayn and that left Perrie upset. She’s moved on, but of course still doesn’t want her ex to see photos she thinks are unflattering. She knows it’s silly, but she can’t help but compare herself to Gigi. Gigi’s renowned for her body and Perrie sometimes feels insecure in comparison.
“Friends have been reassuring Perrie that her body is amazing and she shouldn’t worry about the photos.”
