Vicky: ‘Scarlett’s ruining my life!’

The Gogglebox star bagged Vicky Pattison’s job, and it hasn’t exactly gone down well…

-

No one can forget the TV gold that was I’m A Celeb: Extra Camp host Vicky Pattison practically throwing the winner’s crown at new Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt last year. Well, now Scarlett has returned the favour – by swiping Vicky’s presenting job.

Scarlett, 26, is said to have bagged the ITV spin-off show job after it was revealed that Vicky, 29, wouldn’t be back to host the next series – that’s despite the star having only taken over from Laura Whitmore the previous year. And things have reportedly got quite tense between the former friends.

A source tells us, “Vicky feels like she was kind to Scarlett and it’s being used against her now. She had a tough time hosting Extra Camp and she’s scared her reputation is crumbling. It’s the second job she’s lost, after her Loose Women contract wasn’t renewed last year. She’s really worried.

“Scarlett’s always nice at events, and messages on Instagram, but Vicky is still concerned. She thinks she’s after her jobs, and reckons Scarlett plays up the fact that she’s so natural and relatable. She’s even heard that Scarlett’s people have banned her from boozing in public to underline how different she is to Vicky.”

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky – who’s known as a party girl, and pleaded guilty to assault in 2014 after a drunken night out – was criticised by viewers during her short stint on Extra Camp, with complaints that she was “hard to understand” and “gurned” on camera. By contrast, since Scarlett left the jungle, she’s worked hard to prove her presenter credentials with a string of successful live TV jobs. From her backstage coverage at the National Television Awards earlier this year, to her recent appearance on Saturday Night Takeaway, where she reportedly impressed bosses with her charisma and on-screen banter with Ant and Dec. Scarlett also landed the sought-after host’s role on an upcoming reboot of Streetmate, originally presented by TV legend Davina Mccall.

Let’s hope Vicky and Scarlett manage to sort it out and remain friends. Or at least do what we do and ignore people we don’t like, like proper grown-ups. n
