Beyoncé’s big baby headache

She’s got 99 problems… and Jay and Solange’s new feud is just one

-

There’s nothing like a pregnancy to bring people together. Oh,

sorry, we mean cause epic rows and reignite family

feuds. As Beyoncé’s due date approaches, insiders tell heat that her husband Jay Z and sister Solange are at war (yes, again) over the birth plan – and Queen Bey is getting sick of it.

“Solange and Bey have been joined at the hip for the last few months,” says our insider close to Bey, 35, whose twins are due around June. “Solange has been going through it all with her sister – prenatal yoga classes, rubbing stretch-mark oil on the bump – so she assumed she’d be present when Beyoncé gives birth. But Jay’s insisting it’s his job as the dad, and he should be there on his own – meaning Solange would be left outside in the waiting area. It’s turning into a stand-off and bringing up a lot of past issues between them, which is probably why neither of them have thought about asking what Beyoncé actually wants! It’s a real power struggle, and everyone thinks it could all blow up fairly soon.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen these two fall out. Nobody could forget Liftgate, back in May 2014, when leaked CCTV footage showed Solange, 30, literally attacking her brother-in-law after the Met Ball. The incident was thought to be over Jay’s alleged affairs – seemingly hinted at on Beyoncé’s Lemonade album, where she describes a partner calling “Becky with the good hair”. Jay and Solange have since patched things up, with Solange confirming she and the rapper, 47, were “all good”.

But friends say this pregnancy has reignited their problems. “Jay thinks Solange can be bossy sometimes. She’s got a temper on her and good luck trying to challenge her on something – especially anything to do with her sister. Solange is fiercely protective of Bey and she knows how nervous she is about giving birth to twins. Of course, Jay thinks Solange is totally overstepping the mark. It’s getting very heated, but they try to stop arguing when Bey comes into the room – they know how important it is to her that they get along. Beyoncé’s not stupid, though, and the tension makes her really sad. It should be all about Bey right now, and instead it’s becoming all about a feud between the people she loves most.” LUCY VINE
