Kim Kardashian’s broken the internet yet again, after unflattering snaps from a girls’ holiday to Mexico hit the web
We get to the bottom of Kim Kardashian’s holiday snaps
Just when you thought Kim Kardashian’s bum had given us everything it’s ever going to give, it revealed another layer of intrigue. The reality star’s incomprehensibly giant posterior broke the internet again last week during a girls’ holiday in Mexico. Along with her sister Kourtney and 13 of their closest employees, Kim’s trip apparently featured bed-vomit, naked cartwheels, fights, and “special brownies”. But none of that could ever be as interesting as the holiday photos – and the ridiculous difference between those glossy, tanned shots Kim wants you to see, next to the “unapproved” pics here on the left.
“Kim was really horrified when she saw the leaked pictures,” says an insider close to the 36-year-old star, who took to Twitter after the unairbrushed pictures leaked to write (and then quickly delete), “Yup, I’ve recently seen perspective is a bitch. I’ll work on taking good videos with better lighting & angles. F**k you would
think I’d learned.” The source goes on, “Kim is a control freak with her images and always only releases the oiled-up, glamorous, and perfect pictures that she’s approved. So, of course she was pissed off when she saw the unretouched ones taken by a paparazzi photographer.”
And for those of us wondering how cellulite is allowed in the Kardashian household, don’t panic, because it isn’t even cellulite. “Kim’s butt is basically handcrafted by surgeons,” says an insider close to the Keeping Up
With The Kardashians star, who is mum to North, three, and Saint, one. “She’s [reportedly] had a Brazilian butt lift [where fat is extracted by liposuction from elsewhere on the body and injected into the bum], and she also has it regularly Botoxed to keep it soft and peachy. Her bum can’t be hard like breast implants because, obviously, she sits on it. Kim first went massive with her butt four years ago, and she has maintained it, but the work is wearing off, which is why she gets
inconsistencies as the fat separates underneath the skin, leaving pockmarks and lumps that can look like cellulite.”
heat told you last week that Kim has been boasting about losing 6lb on her “amazing” flu diet, but insiders say that’s made her bum problems even more obvious. “She’s been seeing her surgeon every few weeks to try to patch up the pockmarks,” says the source. “But Kim’s recent weight loss has made the imperfections much more pronounced. When she had a little more natural fat on her, the fillers sat better and looked more realistic, but without that, you get this effect. Kim’s surgeon has told her flat out that she needs to gain back that weight to make her butt look better, but Kim loves being thin too much, so she’s refusing to do that.”
Instead, we’re told, Kim is planning more work to fix the previous work. “The surgeon has been researching various procedures to get everything looking smooth, uplifted and toned again,” says the insider. “There are some new laser treatments that Kim could have to stimulate collagen, and they’re also looking at some very expensive filler work, usually only done on the face. Kim is willing to try everything – she even gets the vampire facial [injections of her own blood] on her butt.”
And to prevent this kind of picture-scandal ever happening again, Kim’s telling friends she wants picture approval on all images of her from here on out. “She already approves all her social posts, but now Kim says every picture with her in it will have be signed off by her,” says the source. “That is the rule from now on. She’s insisting on seeing every photo she’s in – especially ones on friends’ phones – and she will make them delete any that she doesn’t like. If she knows someone has been taking pics, she will smile and be all cute, but then, ten minutes later, her assistant will go up to the person and say she needs to go through their phone. Then delete them. Kim pretends like she doesn’t even know it’s going on.”
Sounds like a fun end to the holiday, huh? But insiders tell heat the Punta Mita trip wasn’t exactly the wild time Kim made it out to be anyway. “It was essentially just an extended photo shoot,” says another source close to the group, which was almost entirely comprised of make-up artists, hairstylists and assistants. “It’s not a coincidence Kim’s ‘friends’ were her glam squad. She would get primed every morning, every lunchtime and again every evening. They spent eight hours preparing, and then probably only about two shooting all the ‘fun’.”
During the holiday, Kim posted on Twitter that Kourtney, 38, “won’t stop doing naked cartwheels”, as well as Kim “throwing up 4 times in her bed”, make-up artist Joyce Bonelli also “put nipple clamps” on reality star Malika Haqq, lifestyle blogger Britt Gastineau “skinny dipped solo” and hairstylist Jen Atkin “spiked [Kim’s] Oreo shake”. But friends say all the epic times were “totally exaggerated versions of what was going on”, adding, “It was all designed to make them look like fun party girls, to win over the people that see them as staged and boring”. In fact, we’re told Kim’s assistant Steph Shep spent most of the holiday taking photos. The insider says, “Even when Kim’s at home, Steph has to take about 500 pictures a day, and she can’t stop until Kim finds one she likes. The holiday was even worse. Kim takes Steph everywhere, and she spends her days discussing everything Kim eats, wears, thinks, and is on call in the middle of the night.”
