HARRY’S GOT A NEW ROOMIE
He’s feeling lonely in his new £7m apartment, and she may be the perfect roommate
How do you like your eggs in the morning, Hazza? We only ask, because it looks like breakfast chez Styles is about to drastically improve.
Last week, it was revealed that Harry Styles is dating Tess Ward, a Cordon Bleu-trained chef, food writer and well-connected Londoner (she counts Millie Mackintosh and Amber Le Bon as friends), who holds a huge fan-base among the health and fitness brigade on Instagram, thanks to her recipes.
The pair, who were introduced by mutual friends, were first spotted together last week, driving around north London in Harry’s Audi. And sources say that, while it’s still early days, they’re really into each other.
An Instagram picture 27-year-old Tess posted of herself wearing a red, floral Gucci shirt basically confirmed the romance, as the singer wore the very same shirt in early March. Coincidence? There’s no such thing in the celebrity fashion world.
Now, it seems that Harry, 23, is keen to take their relationship to the next level. Having recently bought a three-bedroom, £7m flat in New York, he wants company. According to friends, life as a solo artist has left Haz feeling “lonely and pressurised” at times.
An insider tells heat, “He feels really insecure without the boys in the band backing him. His music’s success now rests only on his shoulders.
“Suddenly, he’s been craving a stable relationship. He really likes Tess and, even though they haven’t been dating long, he’s talked to her about moving into his new Manhattan apartment once he’s living there.”
Tess’ domestic credentials are apparently a major draw. “She’s really down to earth and not like a lot of the other girls he’s dated,” says our source. “He’s hoping that she can take care of him and cook for him while he’s home – and just give him the stability that he’s really after right now.”
As for Tess, our source says, “She’s really excited about the idea and thinks that New York would be a great place to explore for her food blogging.” A nd while she’s said to be concerned about missing her friends and family, Harry has apparently reassured her by telling her how often he goes back and forth.
It would be no surprise if the singer is eager for a roommate for his new NYC pad, which is reportedly located in the trendy area of Tribeca. At 2,868sqft, and with a vast living room, three bathrooms and a master bedroom, he has more than enough room for two. Indeed, Harry has long preferred the company of others – his friend, music video director Ben Winston, recently revealed that the singer asked to stay with him in 2012 while he was buying his Hampstead Heath home, and eventually ended up living with Ben’s family for 20 months.
Now it looks like lucky Tess could be the one to provide Harry with the companionship that he’s looking for – not to mention, all the guacamole and tacos (we’ve heard they’re his favourite). Just let us know when the house-warming party is, yeah?
