We spotted the former couple at the same hotel in LA
Back in February, when Kylie Minogue split from her fiancé Joshua Sasse, who was reportedly cheating on her with a co-star, heat told you she was leaning on ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez for support. And insiders tell us that Kylie and Olivier are officially seeing each other again – and they’ve even been spotted at the same LA hotel.
Last week, paparazzi caught Olivier, 51, leaving LA’S legendary Chateau Marmont hotel on his motorbike, one day after Kylie posted two photos of herself inside the hotel (fans spotted the hotel’s famous carpet on her Instagram). And now, friends of the couple – who split in 2007 after five years together – say they’re back on.
“They’re taking things very slowly, but Kylie’s keeping her fingers crossed that they get the happy ending she always dreamed about,” a friend says. “Olivier is trying really hard because he knows he hurt Kylie before, and he seems determined to be the perfect gentleman this time around. There has been a lot of water under the bridge since they broke up and, over the years, they have stayed good friends.
“They are very sweet together, and I think all their friends are just wanting to see how things play out between them. It would be wonderful if they ended up together again after all these years.” Olivier and Kylie, 49, met at the Grammy Awards in 2003, and the French actor was by Kylie’s side when she battled cancer in 2005. Even after they broke up (he was accused of cheating on her, which he denies), Kylie said she kept in touch with his parents, and wrote the song Beautiful about their relationship. She also called him “incredible” and “the most honorable man I have ever met”, as well as congratulating him on Twitter when he married Halle Berry. The couple, who split in 2015, share son Maceo, three.
“Kylie and Olivier are having a lot of fun and, in many ways, it’s like old times between them right now,” says our insider. “Kylie is determined not to lose her heart to Olivier again, but it’s difficult as he is the love of her life, and Olivier has strong feelings for her. They seem to be falling for each other all over again, although Kylie swears she’s playing it cool.”
